Imagine: A Boxego Moment in History - 9th September 1971

A Boxego Timeline journal entry...

Most people know all – or at least some – of the words to this iconic song, it is one of the 100 most performed songs of the 20th century and has sold more than 1.6 million copies.  The song is about the world at peace without borders, religions or nationalities and suggests that the world would be a better place if we had no possessions.  John Winston (Ono) Lennon MBE was a singer and songwriter and an original Beatle, the One Direction of their day!

It was after the Beatles disbanded in 1970, that Lennon went on to write “Imagine” and “Give Peace a Chance”. I wonder what he would have thought of the internet? In some ways, it means there are no borders now!
